Year End Celebration –  Raffle Baskets.  We need your help!! We are now collecting basketitems (or $$) for the baskets and need contributions to create exceptionally nice baskets from the  Arts & Humanities Division.   Please note: The names of staff and faculty that contribute an item or $ to the raffle baskets will be entered into a special drawing for prizes provided by Janis & Michelle.  Janis and Michelle  have flyers outside their offices for your taking.  A huge “THANK YOU” to  Katherine Oleson, Seda, Bernadetta, and Gordon Leighton for their contributions, their names will be added for the special drawing that will take place in A/H fishbowl with names on pieces of paper for a drawingread more

ELI Talent Show – Saturday, May 16, 2015. Doors will open to the BC Carlson TheatreELI talent show, May 16, 2015 at 4:30 pm at 4:00 pm.  Show begins at 4:30 and is free.  There will be some great visual art displayed.  Come and hear the ELI Band.  The show will feature martial arts, singing and dancing and performances by some of the teachers. ♦ Writing a Strong Thesis Statement –  Writing Lab Workshop Tuesday, May 19 11:30 am-12:20pm and 1:30pm-2:20pm in the Shared Classroom of the Academic Success Center, D204. Discussion on the elements of effective thesis statements, ways to write them, and practice drafting one on site!  All workshops are 50 minutes.
