islands and sea Friendly Reminder!!  Some people who work in the A&H Division report sensitivities to various chemical-based or scented products.  We ask for everyone’s cooperation in our efforts to accommodate their health needs.

In Response to health concerns, Arts & Humanities has developed a Scent-Free Policy.  Scented products such as hair spray, perfume, and deodorant can trigger reactions such as respiratory distress and headaches.  Instructors, students, staff  and visitors are asked to not use these products when visiting the A&H office.  Arts & Humanities at Bellevue College is a Scent-free environment.  Our Chemically sensitive instructors, staff and students thank you!! :o)

As of July 7, (message from Maggie Harada) you need to follow the procedure below to add a student to your class.  Susan has been out a few days, so you can request a form from Seda.  Please make sure the student attaches documentation for “extenuating circumstances” before submitting requests to me.  Thank you!

LATE-LATE Registration (July 7 or later), formerly known as a “red card”:

  • Beginning July 7th, students must have documentation of extenuating circumstances to register late.
  • You can pick up a late-late form from  Seda. DO NOT send students to pick those up.

Before submitting late-late request forms to me, please ensure that students have attached documentation that meets the criteria for “extenuating circumstances.” Some examples of extenuating circumstances include illness, bereavement, or institutional error.
