TODAY!  Music Performance and Lecture. Wednesday, April 13 in D106, 2:30-4:-00 pm.  Longtime music vet Ian Moore will be the featured musician along with a few other local musicians.  The event is to give spotlight to the Woody Guthrie “Grand Coulee Dam” album 75-year anniversary. Time will be spent playing  a few songs off the album and talk about the big commemoration show at Benaroya Hall in May.  Don’t miss out!!

NewsTalk with Ana:– Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 in D204 from April 13 – June 8 NewsTalk is a weekly workshop series for ELL students where they can learn different reading skills like paraphrasing and finding the main idea.  Together, we will then practice applying these skills to our news stories in dynamic activities.  Students can develop their speaking skills by contributing to the discussions as they share their thoughts and reactions to each story with the group.  We encourage faculty to let ELL students know about NewsTalk.

Tips for Reading your TextbookSaturday, April 16.  1:00-3:00 pm in D204  Have you ever had trouble getting through your textbook?  If only they were more like our favorite blogs!  A different approach is needed for reading textbooks – visit the Reading Lab web site for more info regarding this workshop.

The Pre-show projections will be made up of people in New York City.

  We are now collecting items for the baskets.  Please click on this link to read more about how you can help and howballoons the raffle baskets help the Bellevue College community.  Thank you Jin for your contribution!!  Your name will be added to the Arts & Humanities raffle list that will be held for people that donate $$ or items.  Last year seven gifts were raffled off in Arts & Humanities.
