Washington State outlineCrosscurrents is NOW accepting poems, short prose, and art from Washington Community Colleges’ instructors, working or retired, for the 2017 edition.

DEADLINE for submissions is the end of April 15, 2017.  We ARE NOT seeking a particular theme.  For more information to: wccha.org.  If you have any questions, you can send them to: srody@shoreline.edu

PROSE & POETRY GUIDELINES:

  • Submit a MS Word document by email and by US Mail. Submit up to 6 poems and up to 3 pieces of prose. Max words: 4,500.
  • Only one version of each literary work is accepted for consideration. Do not send 2 or more versions of the same literary piece.
  • No written works will be mailed/returned to the writers.
  • Also indicate the college(s) where you are employed. A failure to do so may result in the authors’ work not being considered for publication.
  • Submissions may be subject to editing.

ART GUIDELINES:

  • Include your name, the title of the piece(s), the medium used, size, date created, and orientation (top of the image.)
  • The college(s) where you are employed and your college email address are required for all submissions.
  • To submit art or a cover design please send a CD or DVD or email to the appropriate East side or West side editor.
  • All works must include the application software used, along with the version number and the platform (PC or Mac.) Work should be in TIFF format and be at least 300 dpi at the size used for the journal (currently 8″ for the longest dimension.) Higher resolutions are always welcome.
  • Submissions may be subject to editing.
