Coffee time, Popcorn Lovers & Ice cream lovers baskets – Raffle baskets from June 2015

• We (Janis & Seda) are collecting $$ or item donations for this year’s “Year End Celebration” Wednesday, June 1.  At the celebration, baskets are raffled away that are donated by each division.  This year’s theme is “Who is turning 50.” Since President David Rule is a Dr. Who fan and Dr. Who is turning 50, the President thought it would be fun to celebrate both Dr. Who and Bellevue College at the Year End Celebration. We will be adding Dr. Who items to the below theme baskets.

We will be filling baskets for four themes, which are:

1. Tea time  – Teapot, teacup, tea, honey, tea towels, cookies, candies, teabag holder, little spoons, or anything else.

2. Chocolate Lovers – M&M’s, dark choc, milk choc. candy bars,  chocolate coffee, or anything else chocolate.

3. Organic Healthy Blend – Soups, soaps, lotions, crackers, teas, coffees,  nuts, oatmeal, Justin’s p-nut or almond butter packets, or anything thing else that would fall into the category of organic.

4. Coffee Break Basket – coffee cups, coffee, coffee candy, coffee grinder, coffee filters, coffee creamer, or anything else that pertains to coffee.

Dr. Who Items that have been donated:

• Tardis Yahtzee game (50th anniversary edition)
• Tardis Mug (for coffee or tea),
• Tardis Key chain,
• Tray
• Ornament

♦ The money that is generated from the baskets sales go into an “emergency fund” designated for a one time use for faculty, staff and students. 

We will repeat what we did last year and that is to have a special raffle for all the people that donate items or $$ for the raffle baskets.  Last year there were seven winners in our division that received special gift baskets, the winners were: Dan Beert,  Catherine Berkenfield,  Shirley Cunningham,  Maggie Harada,  Stephanie Hurst, Gordon Leighton & Wendy Pickering.
Please give all  donation items to: Janis Juarez or Seda Markarova no later than May 13, 2016 .  Make sure you tag your name on the items if we happen to be away from our desks, that way your name can added  to our special “in house”  raffle list.  The “in house” raffle will take place on Wednesday, May 25.
