\"Taiko<\/a>A Special Performance of Japanese Music & Dance<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Wariki,<\/span><\/strong> a three-man group<\/span><\/strong>, will be coming from Japan to Bellevue, WA on January 15,<\/span><\/strong> 2016<\/strong>,<\/span> as part of the 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0Annual Bellevue World Taiko Festival<\/span><\/strong>. \u00a0\u00a0They will also be giving a free lecture \/ demonstration for the Bellevue College community.<\/p>\n

January 15, 2016 at 2:45 pm<\/span>\u00a0(doors open at 2:15)<\/span><\/strong> in the Carlson Theatre, a free lecture \/ demo will be given on:
\n\u2022 Taiko (drums),
\n\u2022 Japanese dance, Fue (flute) and
\n\u2022 shamisen (3-stringed Japanese instrument)<\/p>\n

Free Japanese snacks will also be available in the Carlson Lobby.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Wariki<\/span><\/strong> is dedicated to the re-creation of traditional art forms into theatrical productions.\u00a0Wariki\u2019s members are masters of their instruments and traditional performing art forms and have been performing individually for more than 30 years. They have been touring and performing\u00a0 in Japan and around the world (US, Canada, Europe, etc.) as a group since the group\u2019s founding over 15 years ago.\u00a0http:\/\/www.wariki.jp\/eg\/aboutwariki.html<\/a><\/p>\n
