During this week-long celebration, I will be hosting an event called\u00a0<span style=\"color: #1c4285\"><strong>International Stories<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>(Stories for short). This will be a collection of 3-5 minute oral stories based around the theme of\u00a0<span style=\"color: #1c4285\"><strong>&#8220;Home Away from Home&#8221;<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0and can include true stories of international adventures and misadventures, humorous or embarrassing cultural faux pas, serendipitous cultural <a href=\"\/\/commons.bellevuecollege.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2016\/11\/Home-Away-from-Home.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-2033\" src=\"\/\/commons.bellevuecollege.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2016\/11\/Home-Away-from-Home-300x188.png\" alt=\"Home Away from Home is written on a European map\" width=\"248\" height=\"159\" \/><\/a>discoveries, or even a fictionalized account of an intercultural experience.\u00a0We are currently searching for outgoing\/quiet\/capable students (aka anyone) who can tell a good story. Faculty and staff are welcome to participate as well.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><strong><a href=\"\/\/commons.bellevuecollege.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2016\/11\/Save_the_date.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-2034\" src=\"\/\/commons.bellevuecollege.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2016\/11\/Save_the_date.png\" alt=\"save the date\" width=\"112\" height=\"101\" \/><\/a>The Date &amp; Time:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Tuesday, November 15, 1:30-2:30pm<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><strong>The Setting:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0C130 (Garden Room) dressed as an intimate town hall\/open mic\/cafe space furnished with comfy chairs for storytellers.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><strong>Audience:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Anyone and everyone (this is an open doors event)<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008000\">How\u00a0you can help:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>Please refer\u00a0students with stories to share to me at: \u00a0<a href=\"mailto:taylor.dalrymple@bellevuecollege.edu\"><u>taylor.dalrymple@bellevuecollege.edu<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This will be a wonderful confidence booster and skill builder for all storytellers as well as inspiration for observers.
