\nELI faculty<\/strong><\/span>, please submit syllabi to Bernadetta<\/span><\/strong>, or submit through the Request Center<\/p>\n

Please note:<\/strong> We get many students (and other instructors\/administrators) asking for faculty contact information at the front desk and\/or phone calls due to the lack of contact info provided in syllabi.<\/em><\/p>\n

Please include your contact info at the top of all of your syllabi.\u00a0 By contact info I\u2019m referring to:
\n\u2192 Office location
\n\u2192 Office Phone #
\n\u2192 Bellevue College e-mail address
\n\u2192 Office hours, or times you are available to students be it on-line, in your office, via phone.<\/p>\n

I have attached a Syllabus Template_9_19_14<\/a>\u00a0that is located in “MyBC”<\/em> under \u201cFaculty Resources.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Some of the links are outdated.<\/em> \u00a0Please note!<\/strong> This template will be updated\u00a0during spring quarter\u00a0by Gordon Leighton and ready for fall quarter 2015.<\/p>\n

For those of you, who like to create your own syllabi, please read below<\/span>.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Bernadetta and I are\u00a0required to adhere to the Bellevue College Web Information Accessibility Standards, we quickly scan the syllabi to see if any changes need to be made.\u00a0 Sometimes we will make the a few changes which may include a few, or all of the items mentioned below, \u00a0\u00a0I may even ask you to make the changes and submit the document(s) again.\u00a0 Please keep in mind the following:<\/p>\n

1. Include Spring\u00a02015<\/strong>\u00a0up at the top.
\n2. Change all references from DSS to DRC<\/strong> (Disability Resource Center)
\n3.\u00a0Check all links<\/strong> you include to make sure they are still active, if they are not active, change them, or remove them.
\n4.\u00a0Please do not use fancy fonts<\/strong>, stay with Ariel or Universal, or something very easy on the eyes.
\n5.\u00a0Please do not bold everything.
\n6.\u00a0Change all references from Bellevue Community College (BCC<\/strong>) to Bellevue College (BC)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please make note. <\/strong>\u00a0If you are still using links that have bcc.ctc, the links are no longer being redirected to documents, or sites.\u00a0 The links are all being directed to the Bellevue College home page instead.\u00a0 While posting syllabi, I have noticed several syllabi come in with the old links.\u00a0 Please make sure you are giving your students the correct information.<\/p>\n

Our syllabi are viewed by the public which may include people that have vision impairments.\u00a0 The syllabi are also viewed by other college advisors.\u00a0 All information on the syllabi should be easily read and up-to-date.<\/p>\n
