Wednesday, April 13 <\/span><\/strong>in <\/span>D106, 2:30-4:-00 pm<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0 Longtime music vet Ian Moore<\/strong> will be the featured musician along with a few other local musicians.\u00a0 The event is to give spotlight to the Woody Guthrie \u201cGrand Coulee Dam\u201d album 75-year anniversary. Time will be spent playing\u00a0 a few songs off the album and talk about the big commemoration show at Benaroya Hall in May.\u00a0 Don\u2019t miss out!!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2666<\/span> NewsTalk with Ana<\/span>:\u2013 Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 in D204 from<\/span> <\/strong>April 13 \u2013 June 8<\/span> NewsTalk<\/span><\/strong> is a weekly workshop series for ELL<\/strong><\/span> students where they can learn different reading skills<\/strong><\/span> like paraphrasing and finding the main idea.\u00a0 Together, we will then practice applying these skills to our news stories in dynamic activities.\u00a0 Students can develop their speaking skills<\/span> <\/strong>by contributing to the discussions as they share their thoughts and reactions to each story with the group.\u00a0 We encourage faculty to let ELL<\/span><\/strong> students know about NewsTalk<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
