\"Tardis<\/a>Year End Celebration \u2013 Raffle Baskets<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0 We are now collecting items for the baskets.\u00a0The theme is \u201cWho is turning 50?<\/strong>\u201d<\/span> \u00a0\u00a0Since President David Rule is a Dr. Who<\/span> <\/strong>fan, and Dr. Who<\/span> <\/strong>is turning 50<\/span><\/strong>, the President thought it would be fun to celebrate both Dr. Who<\/span> <\/strong>and Bellevue College <\/strong><\/span>at the Year End Celebration.<\/p>\n

\"Workshops\"<\/a>\u2666<\/span> News Talk with\u00a0 Ana<\/span>: Wednesdays, 4:30-6:00<\/span> in D204 from <\/span><\/strong>April 13<\/span> \u2013 June 8. <\/span>NewsTalk<\/span><\/strong> is a weekly workshop series for ELL<\/strong> students where they can learn different reading skills<\/strong> like paraphrasing and finding the main idea.\u00a0 Together, we will then practice applying these skills to our news stories in dynamic activities.\u00a0 Students can develop their speaking skills <\/strong>by contributing to the discussions as they share their thoughts and reactions to each story with the group.\u00a0 We encourage faculty to let ELL students know about NewsTalk<\/p>\n
