\"Plastic<\/a>\u2666<\/span> FEB. 12-16<\/strong><\/span>. Contribute plastic bags<\/span> <\/strong>for Earth Week plarn (plastic yarn) bedrolls. Please ask your students to each bring 5-10 plastic bags (grocery is best, and non-torn).\u00a0 Bring these plastic bags to R230 this week to be collected by RISE for this large-scale service project.\u00a0 These bedrolls serve as a layer of protection between the ground and sleeping bags, something much needed for people living on the streets.\u00a0 It can take 500-700 plastic bags to make a single bedroll.<\/p>\n

\u25ca\u00a0If you\u2019d be willing to take 10 minutes out of a class period in late-February\/early-March, project coordinators can also come to your class and teach your students how to make plarn.
