If you recall from Opening Day, the&nbsp;<strong>ATD Student Success work is to<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>close equity gaps and improve success for all students.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;To review our goals and strategies, please refer to my fall&nbsp;quarterly&nbsp;message which is on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/commons.bellevuecollege.edu\/ourfuture\/achieving-the-dream\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ATD website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Progress to date:&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Integrated Student Supports (ISS) Collective will meet on a\u00a0quarterly\u00a0basis to bring campus partners together in the spirit of increasing communication, collaboration and building capacity.\u00a0They will meet today from 1pm\u20133pm in N201. All\u00a0are welcome to attend.<\/li><li>BC was awarded a highly competitive Department of Education\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/bellevuec.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/president\/ATD\/EbrbXQdY441CsnMAA9f1jvEB3LCKshZQ2X_GuuXNO2adhg\" target=\"_blank\">Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant<\/a>\u00a0to focus on Student Success.<\/li><li>An intake form to connect students proactively to services has been completed by over 100 students for winter 2020 and will continue scale up.\u00a0<\/li><li>The BC Pathways workgroup finalized the BC Pathways. Faculty are creating discipline-specific course maps which are due in February.\u00a0\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sbctc.edu\/colleges-staff\/programs-services\/student-success-center\/guided-pathways.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Here is a short video<\/a>\u00a0from the SBCTC for more information about Pathways.<\/li><li>The First Year Seminar (FYS) is a student success course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to achieve their long-term goals.\u00a0 The course curriculum proposal was submitted to the Curriculum Advisory Committee.\u00a0 The faculty training is being developed and the application process will be released by the end of the winter quarter.<\/li><li>The Faculty Professional Development (FPD) Workgroup is investigating high impact practices through the Faculty Commons \u201cHigh 5 Next Steps\u201d Learning Community this year. We invite the campus community to hear more about the work of ATD and the Integrated Student Supports group.<\/li><li>We will continue with the ATD theme at the winter and spring All Faculty Meeting, addressing some of these topics there.<\/li><li>ATD\u00a0Core Team meetings are open to the public and generally occur on the 2nd\u00a0Monday of each month from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in\u00a0the East Boardroom, B-201B.<\/li><li>We will\u00a0hold an ATD Office Hour at the Faculty Commons in D104 on Monday, February 3 from 2pm-3pm. Please drop-in and learn more about our work and ask questions.\u00a0<\/li><li>BC Pathways Team is currently working with transfer program areas to review courses and build course maps in each focus area.\u00a0 Please contact your chair if you would like to participate and gain access to the Canvas site with resources.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Achieving our goal requires collaboration grounded in communication, gathering input from stakeholders, and making decisions based on data and feedback. In 2017, BC adopted&nbsp;the&nbsp;ATD framework which values equity, data-informed decision making, and a student-centered approach.
