This Course Includes the Following Topics:
- The history of virtual reality (VR)
- The relationship between VR and other mixed reality technologies
- VR Design theory and considerations
- Real-time immersive communication and collaboration
- Team-based problem solving in VR environments
- Ethical implications of immersive technologies from a humanities perspective
Students will have access to VR technologies and be given hands-on opportunities. This course will be delivered partially online with access to virtual reality equipment provided to students. Please note: students should have access to a Internet-connected PC/Mac laptop or desktop computer. Chromebooks, iPads, and smart phones are currently not supported by applications used in this course.
