  • FRIDAY, JUNE 5 – Nominations for chair elections of English, World Language, and Communication Studies programs. Please, be sure to check with the individual first to be sure they are willing to serve. Note that Current chairs can be re-nominated and elected. Please send Ellen Nichols VIA E-Mail your nominations for your program’s chair by Friday, June 5th. Next week we can explain about the voting. Please, note that this week we are only looking at nominations and all full-time and lecturer faculty in the program will be sent a ballot for voting.  
  • FRIDAY, JUNE 5 – Faculty Commons Council needs an additional faculty member from our division to serve.  This would be a wonderful contribution to shared governance.  Professional development is as important to us as we seek to continuously improve our personal work and our college.  If you are interested or want to nominate someone, please send Ellen Nichols VIA E-Mail your nominations for this position by Friday, June 5th. Next week we can explain about the voting. Please, note that this week we are only looking at nominations.  
  • FRIDAY, JUNE 5 – Faculty who were originally scheduled to teach on-ground or hybrid classes, please determine whether you will change your course delivery to all asynchronous instruction (our more traditional online course model where there are no scheduled class meetings) or if you will have some level of synchronous class time where you expect students to participate via Big Blue Button, Zoom or Teams, etc.  Also, indicate whether a webcam is required.  Work with your chair about submitting this information. Please complete the posting of your information by this Friday, June 5th.

THE BOB PURSER ART GALLERY

  • The Bob Purser Art Gallery will be posting virtual content in the upcoming months. The first series of posts will be interviews with art faculty about being an artist in these extraordinary times, major influences, interests, and what they view as the purpose of art.  Each questionnaire provided to a faculty member is broken into two Instagram posts, the first of which is life at this time.
