Japan Week LogoWe are recruiting 200 volunteers for the final Saturday, Oct. 6, open-to-public “Festival Day and have 25 volunteer positions still open.  Volunteers will receive a Japan Week T-shirt by volunteering for 4 hours or more.  Please see the Volunteer Registration Form.

WRITING LAB / ADVISING CLASS VISITS

Academic Success Center The WRITING LAB is available for a brief CLASS VISIT at the beginning or end of your class time to let students know about what the Lab offers.  Please contact us at:
writinglab@bellevuecollege.edu  and we will coordinate with you to schedule a visit!

Advisor Deanne Schedule CLASSROOM VISITS with Deanne Eschbach during fall quarter 2018.  This includes any
class within the A/H division.  They are approximately 10 minutes in length.  The visit is very informal
and more of a question and answer format.  The discussion involves registration and advising. Visits are on any Tuesday or Wednesday.  You are encouraged to schedule your visit soon.  To schedule a visit, please contact the division front desk or Deanne Eschbach, or stop by Deanne’s office, R240E.
PLEASE NOTE: it is recommended that scheduling be done between week three and week five of the quarter.

Scent free zone posterFRIENDLY REMINDER OF SCENT-FREE POLICY

  In response to health concerns, Arts & Humanities  has developed a Scent-Free Policy Scented products such as hairspray, perfume and deodorant can trigger reactions such as  respiratory distress and headaches.  Instructors, students, staff and visitors are asked to not use these products when visiting the A&H office.  Arts & Humanities at Bellevue College is a Scent-free environment.  Remember, what seems like a light application to you can bring on a situation where someone is put into serious distress.  Please be mindful.  The biggest culprit  is “perfume.”  Please read more.

Jono Vaughan is among the eight finalists announced for the 2018 Neddy Artist Awards.  Stewarded by Cornish College of the Arts since 2011, the Neddy Artist Awards is the most generous and longest-running award for visual artists in the State of Washington, providing two annual gifts of $25,000, and six awards of $1,500, to artists living and working in the Puget Sound region.  The winners will be announced in September.  Congratulations Jono Please visit the Neddy Artist Awards web site for more information.
